It's been a godsend in reducing our reimaging/cleanup. Cylance immediately started triggering on stuff that we had no idea about, especially blocking Unwanted programs like toolbars. We used to run Microsoft's Forefront Endpoint protection product.Ĭylance was lightweight enough that we rolled it out right over the top of Forefront Protection and let both products run. My organization of about 600 endpoints has been running Cylance for well over a year now. Cylance detected and prevented it running on attempted execution. Sophos detected it on insertion of the thumb drive. I created my "own" virus using metasploit. There are other tidbits as well but my impression, so far, is that it is pretty good. Every questionable/abnormal file is listed which is a little tedious. The "Zones" are a bit of a mess right now according to the person doing the training and config with me but they will be improving those in the 1st quarter of 2017. The cloud management is nice and lets you monitor all connected devices. Usually under 100mb with a second process for the system tray icon. Memory use depends on the size of the file that it is scanning. Initial background scan can drag the system slightly but it only needs to do that once (depending on regulatory requirements) and then when the mathematical model is updated it runs it again. Working on implementing Cylance moving from Microsoft Security Essentials or Windows Defender.
